蜀绣，是成渝两地刺绣产品的总称,具有3000多年悠久历史传统。蜀绣以软缎和彩丝为主要原料，运用独特的绣技，绣制成屏风、枕套、衣服、鞋帽及画屏等工艺品。由于蜀锈针线细密、针脚平齐、片线光亮、变化丰富、立体感强，具有浓厚的地方特色而受到世界各国人民的喜爱。

单大琼女士为磁器口古镇有名刺绣师，她所设计制作的《磁器口风情绣》于2005年获重庆国际旅游节暨新产品大赛奖，《金玉满堂》双面绣与2006年获重庆首届工艺美术品大赛银奖。磁器口古镇蜀绣馆和琼缘工艺品经营部以自产自销的蜀绣为主，并兼带传授刺绣技术，常年招生。这里的蜀绣工艺品物美价廉，是家居装饰和馈赠亲友的绝佳用品。

The Sichuan Embroidery Mill

Embroidery, with a long history of 3,000 years, is particular about the skill, material and design. And it is regarded as one of the most excellent crafts in China. Sichuan Embroidery is said to be popular early in Jin Dynasty. Its major materials are soft satin and colorful silk, and through various skills, they can be embroidered into quilt cover, pillowcase, clothing, shoes, caps, painted screen, etc...

There are a great number of embroidery mills in Ciqikou, as well as factories for cross-stitches. The embroideries are said to have usually been bought by high officials and noble lords and even as gift to foreign guests.
